Study Abroad with Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a higher education program of the European Union that has been promoting cross-border mobilities of students, faculty, and staff in higher education in Europe since 1987. The 27 EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Northern Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Turkey participate in Erasmus+.

After completing your first year of study, you can receive funding through the Erasmus+ program for a period abroad of between two and twelve months at a host institution of higher education, up to and including your doctorate. To date, some two million students and nearly 200,000 faculty members across Europe have spent time abroad with this program.

The office hours for Erasmus+ consulting are available at the bottom of this page.

Switzerland has not been an Erasmus+ program country since 2014/15. Students of the University of Potsdam can still study at the Swiss partner universities free of charge, but they will not receive the mobility grant from their home university but from the respective Swiss partner university.
