- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- AAC service delivery, assessment and diagnostics with a special focus on “feature matching”
- AAC for early communicators, unaided and low-tech AAC
- Multimodality and modality switching in interactions with AAC-users
- Interactions between AAC-users and their communication partners
- Critical elements of AAC instruction: modeling of language and communication, video-based supports, partner strategies in AAC, coaching and training of communication partners
- AAC and inclusion
