Curriculum Vitae

I studied English and German at the University of Tampere, Finland and received my teaching degree in both languages in 2016. Furthermore, I completed a specialication programme in technical communication and in German-Finnish translation during my studies, in addition to the pedagogical studies. My main interest still lies in teaching English as a Foreign Language.

I have gained practical experience in project coordination in the field of translation and in teaching English in Finnish primary and secondary schools.

As a lecturer of Teaching English as a Foreign Language my main interests of research lie in the following topics:

  • Plurilingualism in language education
  • Language policies towards minority languages in the school context
  • Translanguaging as a pedagogical approach
  • Teaching English in plurilingual and pluricultural contexts
  • CA-for-SLA
  • Early  language learning
