Quick look: Reproducible Research Environments with Docker

Research code's execution environments are often very specific, have precise requirements, are poorly documented, and all in all confusing. Usually, we only realize how confusing they are when a new member joins our team, or an external researcher tries to reproduce our results. Container technologies have quickly become an industry standard for well-defined and movable execution environments that remain stable between devices, co-workers, and clusters.

In an 1 hour workshop on Zoom we will take a quick look at Docker and how we can use it to run our research code.
