CropStrengthen offers high quality PhD projects jointly organised between the partners.
The ESRs will be enrolled as PhD students in the University of Potsdam. Three of the ESRs will be employed by the University of Potsdam and will be seconded for 50% of their time in one or two of the industrial partners, one of the ESRs will be employed by Enza Zaden, and one by BioAtlantis. The ESRs employed by the companies will be seconded to the University of Potsdam for four months to attend lectures and training courses.
The applicants should have MSc in plant biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, computational biology, or related fields. In addition to the required strong background in plant sciences, one of the ESR (appointed by the University of Potsdam) should have advanced bioinformatics knowledge.
The applicants must not have a PhD degree and their research experience should be less than 4 years by the time of their recruitment.
Since Marie Skłodowska Curie Networks pursue trans-national mobility, there are specific mobility requirements for applicants (check your eligibilty).
The PhD students will be appointed by the CropStrengthen partner organisations under an employment contract. The Monthly Living Allowance, Mobility Allowance and Family Allowance as standard Marie Skłodowska Curie fellowship for Early Stage Researchers will be paid to the researcher in monthly instalments. Local tax and social security regulations will apply. Gender equality will be promoted in the recruitment.
