Inclusion Award

The University of Potsdam, with the support of the state government’s Commissioner for Matters Relating to Persons with Disabilities Janny Armbruster and the University Society e.V., together with the Equal Opportunity Coordination Office, the Commissioner for Employees with Disabilities and the Commissioner for Students with Disabilities/Chronic Conditions, has awarded the “Inclusion Award” for the third time in 2021. The prize is endowed with EUR500.00 and is donated by the state government’s Commissioner for Matters Relating to Persons with Disabilities and the University Society Potsdam e.V. in cooperation with health insurance company Barmer.

The “Inclusion Award” honors individuals or initiatives at the University of Potsdam who

  • work to reduce discrimination (intervention), to expand or strengthen protection against discrimination (prevention), to make diversity and discrimination visible and a topic of discussion, or work in empowerment or networking initiatives at the University of Potsdam
  • demonstrate a special attitude towards discrimination at the University of Potsdam or who conduct outstanding inclusive/diversity-friendly courses
  • design and/or conduct diversity-oriented and -relevant research projects.
