I studied English and American Culture and Literature, German Linguistics and German as a Foreign Language at the University of Potsdam. I received my M. A. as well as the Master of Education in 2006 (Erstes Staatsexamen).

Before and after the Second State Examination (Zweites Staatsexamen) I gained practice as a teacher at a High school and Elementary schools.

My teaching experiences covers the range of:

  • teaching German and English in class 1 to 10 (mostly as a form tutor),
  • teaching at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin German as a Foreign Language,
  • teaching English and German as a Foreign Language at the Community College in Potsdam (a licenced telc-examiner),
  • as well as nursery school children TEFL.

Since 2009 I have been teaching as a form tutor at an Elementary School (classes 1-6) in Potsdam.  As a teacher I´m also interested in the interaction between theory and practice together with the LaLeB (Landesinstitut für Lehrerbildung) to support the teacher trainees.

I am the supervisor of the German department of the elementary school since 2013. As an educator I also have gained skills, experiences and responsibility for administrative tasks. After a qualification (MBJS, Berliner Senat) for becoming a principal I was licensed in 2015.

In 2016 I started my partnership with the TEFL to support future English language teachers with teaching experiences in order to apply their theoretical knowledge by developing tasks or materials for language learning in school.

As a teacher one has had a tremendous impact on students and this is what I would like to share.
