Winter School: International Online Teaching for Junior Researchers

University of Potsdam, March 11th-16th 2019

Our Winter School on International Online Teaching for Junior Researchers is over! We are pleased about the successful course of the event, at which 19 young researchers got the chance to deepen their teaching skills in an international environment. Together they explored principles of university teaching with innovative methods. They defined an appropriate level of international networking and integration and experienced tools and methods to concretely organize international teaching and learning collaboration. And they discussed and designed an international horizon for teaching and learning scenarios. Plans and concepts for international teaching and learning collaborations have been developed as well. With the help of online cooperation and digitization and the learned innovative didactic methods and tools, the participants will develop these further, with the aim of implementing concrete courses.
A highlight of the Winter School was the Round Table Discussion during which the participants discussed the relationship between non formalized and curricular embedded transnational teaching and learning scenarios and exchanged ideas with experts from the Centre Marc Bloch Berlin, the German Forum for Higher Education in the Digital Age, the Division “European Higher Education Area, Internationalization” at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Potsdam Graduate School and the unit Complex Multimedia Application Architectures, University of Potsdam.
