The International Summer School: Innovations in public services design and delivery (InnPubServ) is designed for Master students in Business administration, Public management, Public policy, Economics, Political Science and Law interested in entering the field of public management and/or in enhancing their knowledge on current developments in public management. In a cooperation between University of Rostock/Germany, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia/Italy, University of Potsdam/Germany, University of Minho/Portugal, University of Salerno/Italy and University of Zaragoza/Spain.

We invite Master students from our partner universities from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Germany with the following objectives in mind:

  • Raise mutual understanding by discussing Southern European and German perspectives of 24Public Services Design and Delivery;
  • Enhance students’ ability to creative thinking by understanding methods and challenges of modern public management and innovation management;
  • Increase students’ awareness for the public sector as an interesting employer.

The Summer School will be held from 02.09.-07.09.2019 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). Participants are Master students from partner universities in Italy, Portugal, Spain and Germany.

The Summer School is supported by the programme "Hochschuldialog mit Südeuropa 2019" of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The DAAD provides (cost-covering) subsidies for travel, accommodation and meals as lump sums.

Written applications for the module must be submitted (by e-mail) by Wed. 24.04.2019 to the Chair of Public and Nonprofit Management to Jan P. Adam (jan.adam@uni-potsdam.de). The English application documents should include:

  • Curriculum vitae,
  • Current overview of all marks and a listing of all test results (Transcript of records),
  • letter of motivation

Interested students will be informed of their participation by the end of May 2019.
