I am actually working in the field of applied geomorphology and my main research interests focus on landscape evolution of mountain environments. In particular, my research focuses on the influence of climate and climatic changes on surface processes (sediment supply and sediment transfer) and natural hazards (mainly debris flows and rock falls). I am mainly interested in the understanding of how the modern global warming is affecting sediment dynamics and the evolution of our mountains, for a correct and sustainable management of alpine environments. My research includes morpho-tectonic evolution of mountains and volcanoes, and processes such as landslides and debris-flows. I have experience with field work and data collection, GIS, cosmogenic nuclides, dendrochronology, photogrammetric and remote sensing techniques. I also have experience with physical modeling and the analysis of environmental data.
Here at the University of Potsdam, I am part of the teaching group for the course "Geowissenschaft I and II" (Geology I and II) for Bachelor Student, and I am assistant in the Excursion in Southern France on "Deformation of sedimentary rocks, mapping and profiling".
In November 2016, I got the certificate "International Teaching Professionals", for teaching in English at high educational level.
Please, don't hesitate to contact me for .pdf copies of the papers.
