chromophores on peptides Spectroscopy of bindings spectroscopy on DNA and RNA

The nonlinear optical behavior of DNA and RNA components is investigated in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for molecular plant physiology. The work on aggregation and bindings of nucleic acid relevant molecules is tightly connected with this project.

Another topic is the research on protein folding on the basis of the geometry dependence of transient spectra of covalently bonded chromophores on peptides.
