Particularly in developing and transition countries, public administration requires decision-makers with interdisciplinary skills who are capable of solving problems in management and communication, thereby helping to drive public administration reform. Designed to meet the demand for appropriately trained managerial staff, the curriculum content of the postgraduate Master of Public Management (MPM) program, offered since 1999, is divided into three specialization streams:
Master of European Governance and Administration (MEGA)
The MEGA program is a German-French government program which has been co-designed by the PCPM and is conducted by a consortium that comprises, among others, the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, the French Ministry for the Public Service and the Reform of the State, the PCPM/ University of Potsdam, the Humboldt-University, the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer, the the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) and the University Paris 1 (Sorbonne).

Executive Master of Public Management (EMPM) is a fully accredited
program (ACQUIN) Joint-Degree Program of the Hertie School of Governance
(HSoG) and the University of Potsdam. It is implemented under the
administrative lead of the Hertie School, with all courses taking place
at the Friedrichstraße campus in the heart of Berlin. Find more
