Adequate Nutrition as Human Right

Eradication of poverty and promotion of sustainable development is clearly related to nutritional improvement and capacity building. This relates likewise to the Millennium Developmental Goals, the Post-2015 Development Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals. As nutrition scientists we take on the responsibility to contribute to the world becoming a better place.

Global Capacity Building

The Potsdam Summer School of International Nutrition supports capacity building in research and teaching throughout the world. Global reach is achieved through our presence in the region, by establishing e-Learning programs and visiting scientists at our academic centre in Germany. The Potsdam Summer School of International Nutrition builds the research capacity of scientists in developing and developed countries alike to address nutrition as a most important factor in health and wellbeing.

Changing the Way the World thinks

The Potsdam Summer School of International Nutrition is an academic institution. In the unity of teaching and research, we confront difficult issues facing people in the developing world – living in a world without adequate nutrition causing disease and death. To feed the ever growing world population we need to rethink what we will eat in the future.
