Geschichte der ICHoLS Reihe
Diese Reihe internationaler Tagungen, die erstmals in Ottawa 1978 stattfand, wird abwechselnd in Europa (Lille, Trier, Galway, Oxford, Paris) und in Amerika (Ottawa, Princeton, Washington, São Paolo-Campinas, Urbana-Champaign) durchgeführt. Sie stellt die wichtigste Plattform dar für Forscher, die im Bereich der Geschichte der Sprachwissenschaft arbeiten, einem Bereich, der in letzter Zeit expandiert, wie sich an der Konstituierung mehrerer wissenschaftlicher Vereinigungen und der Gründung mehrerer Fachzeitschriften ablesen lässt.
