the University of Potsdam turned 20 this year. Since its foundation in 1991 the alma mater has developed into an institution with modern infrastructure and a forward-looking scientific orientation. More than 20,000 students are enrolled in more than 100 degree programmes. The achievements of the scientists who work here radiate far beyond the country's borders.
The University of Potsdam as an institution is set in the realm of tradition and modernity. Dynamic, ambitious, grown and growing in a science location that aims to compete with internationally renowned locations.
On the following pages we would like to provide an insight on the structure, the various degree programmes and the research profile of our university. I'M happy to introduce it to you.
