Further Alumni Activities at the University of Potsdam
Apart from the university-run Alumni Programme, there are several alumni initiatives emerging at faculties and departments which do co-operate with the PR office. New groups will be supported. To be mentioned is the alumni club of the "Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences", the so called WiSo e.V.. Another decentral initiative is ernie.nett for current and former students of the Nutrition Sciences.
Potsdam University Press
The Universitätsverlag Potsdam (Potsdam University Press) was established in 1998 as a service institution within the university. Various dissertations and papers by University members are being published in print, in audiovisual or electronic form. The publisher offers assistance to the authors and editors preparing their publications. Production and marketing including the distribution is completely done by the "Universitätsverlag". The aim is to guarantee the fast, economically priced and long-term availability of the published titles in the corporate design of the university. The range of publications corresponds to the range of subjects existing at the University of Potsdam.
