        Curriculum Vitae

        Eik Dödtmann, born in 1975, is Hebrew lecturer at University of Potsdam as of October 2014. Focuses of his work are the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Israeli cinema, media and the Ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) society in Israel. His master’s thesis „Exil oder Heimat? Die Immigration und Integration der polnischen Juden von 1968 in Israel“ („Exile or Home? Immigration and Integration of the Polish Jews of 1968 in Israel”), which he wrote during his stay of several years in Israel, and the corresponding 45-minute documentary “There is no return to Egypt” were published in 2013 at the Universitätsverlag Potsdam. From 2005 to 2014, the Dresdener worked as a correspondent and editor for the Jüdische Zeitung in Berlin, and during that time published countless reportages, reports, interviews, analyses and comments on Israel.
