Workshop Overnutrition and Non-Communicable Diseases
October 3rd - October 8th, 2016 in Vientiane, Lao PDR
In this workshop hosted by the Faculty of Postgraduate studies at the University of Health Sciences in Vientiane, Laos students and lecturer from the partner universities in Khon Kaen, Thailand; Thai Nguyen City, Vietnam and Vientiane, Laos participated. They learned about the complex network of overnutrition, obesity and related non-communicable diseases like diabetes mellitus, cancer and cardiovascular diseases and applied the new knowledge in a field trip to selected rural villages.
