We are pleased to announce the 5th Potsdam PhD Workshop in Empirical Economics. The aim of the workshop is to give talented young researchers the opportunity to present and discuss their research and to study new developments in Empirical Economics.
Lecturers and Topics
Steffen Altmann will talk in his lectures about "Field Experiments and Behavioral Economics". Altmann is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Copenhagen. His research largely concentrates on experimental settings in Behavioral and Labor Economics. He has published in many leading international journals such as Review of Economic Studies, Journal of the European Economic Association, European Economic Review and Journal of Labor Economics.
The second lecturer is Hilmar Schneider and he will give a research-career-policy-talk (RCPT) on “Is there need for a new culture in empirical economics“. He successfully works at the interface between economic research and policy advice. Besides labor policy, Schneider’s research interests include social protection, wage policy and demography.

Participants will be given the opportunity to present and discuss their own research in a poster session. We encourage all young researchers interested in Empirical Economics to apply.
