International Programme Students

Information for Students

We are glad that you are interested in spending part of your studies or taking part in a programme at the University of Potsdam. We hope to be able to greet you here soon.

Your Contact Point

The International Relations Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt – AAA) will assist you starting immediately after you have been nominated to study at the University of Potsdam on part of your home university or a specific foundation. The International Relations Office is the contact point for all programme students regarding organizational issues and social and cultural activities. We offer consultation on questions regarding your preparation for your stay, travelling to Potsdam, and enrolling in the university. We also assist you with issues regarding the German authorities and help you to find accommodations in Potsdam during your stay.

Please note: You must apply for an ERASMUS or exchange scholarship at your home university. For a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Fulbright, or other scholarship, you must contact the respective foundation directly. The International Relations Office of the University of Potsdam does not assist you with such activities.

Students who apply for a DAAD scholarship must take note that the International Relations Office cannot provide you with an advisor confirmation or an acceptance letter. The decision regarding an advisor is made by the institute where you intend to study. We ask, therefore, that you contact the appropriate institute (in German).
